Love your insight! Parenting can be so difficult sometimes. It feels like at times there's this overwhelming invisible pressure that is felt as a parent that compels us to try to do as much as possible. It's hard to accept that less is really sometimes more when the feeling of not doing enough is so overpowering. I try to find time t listen to each of my children after school and it helps that they each ride the bus home and arrive at different increments. It allows me to focus on each child as an individual briefly before beginning our normal routines. I think that it's important for my kids to have that window of time with me that is just focused on them. Especially since I have three children, two dogs, and my own professional education and work to keep up along with supporting my husband while he's been having to work hours away from home. It's hard not to look around at other moms and compare their lifestyles to my own. I have to remind myself that every family is different but it doesn't completely dissolve the inner guilt. Anyhow, I wanted to tell you that I enjoy reading every email that you send and following up on the links that are included. I'm greatly appreciative of your wisdom and of your dedication to helping the other parents like me.
