What works for one child when it comes to disciplinary measures doesn’t work for another. As a parent, though, you owe it to yourself and your children to find which method of discipline works best for each one in order to make it effective in all the right ways.
Great alternative to time is a diversion.

Remember…discipline is a form of teaching and kids don’t learn much of anything from “Because I said so”.

Hi Nicole. I am a preschool teacher in the UK and have been using positive parenting style in setting. I hope you dont mind if i run a workshop for the parents to promote your teachings. I will of course reference you and hopefully get some to sign up to your blog.
Hope this is ok. Any advice or resources I can signpost them to would be gratefully received.

I love this approach, it's respectful for the child and the adult. I try to approach discipline with my son and also at school with my students on this way. Nice to have an outline of different steps to try.
