I help stressed, overwhelmed, confused parents find calm, confidence and connection with their kids.
Rather than striving for perfection, let's embrace imperfection as part of the process.
Parenting doesn't have to be a constant feeling of survival.
My goal is to help you move past the feelings of "survival" parenting to parenting with calm confidence.
You already are the perfect parent for your child. You’re there. You’re showing up. You’re feeding them, getting them to school, reading together, helping with homework, navigating playdates, bandaging boo-boos, and giving tons of hugs.
You’re also (very) tired.
You’ve read so many books, blogs, and websites. You’ve tried so many different techniques and nothing seems to work.
Your family and friends offer suggestions, but you don’t feel right resorting to spanking or doling out punishments.
You know there is a different way. A better way.
It Starts With You
The curriculum I use for parent coaching is based on my book.
In a world swirling with parenting advice, strategies, and promises, my goal for this book is to give you permission to be an imperfect parent to your imperfect child. "It Starts With You" acts as a guide, not a rule book, helping you look at your own story, tuning into your unique child, and finding a positive, respectful rhythm to your relationship.
I believe there is more to parenting than consequences, time-outs, and spankings. This book focuses on laying a strong foundation through meaningful connections, understanding brain development, embracing big feelings, and working through conflict together.
There is no judgment here. You do not have to have it all figured out, and you do not have to do anything perfectly to be a great parent. Learning and growing is a process, one with highs and lows, but always filled with compassion and grace, for yourself and for your kids.
Hello! I'm Nicole Schwarz.
I’m a Parent Coach, Licensed Therapist, Author of It Starts With You, and mom to three girls.
My goal is to help you build calm, confident, connected relationships with your kids. Embracing imperfections, making lots of room for grace, and forgiveness while celebrating small steps in a positive direction.
No one is expecting perfection here. But, if you’re willing to examine your parenting, find encouragement, or try something new, this is the place for you.
