Why do the meltdowns always happen at night?
I’m exhausted. I’m off the clock. I’m done with this parenting gig for today. Don’t my kids know that?
All I want to do is stare mindlessly TV. And I’m not talking about Daniel Tiger or Ninjago.
My child is screaming. I know I need to do something, but my mind is blank. I’m about to scream back, but I know that won’t help. Maybe I should just ignore them, but my willpower is shot.
Why can’t someone just tell me what to do?
Right now. In this moment.
That’s all I really want. Someone to walk around with me and tell me what to do and what to say when parenting gets tricky.
Someone who can help me stay calm in the moment so I can make a better choice.
(Is that too much to ask?)
Can you relate?
OK, maybe you’re not quite that desperate, but I’m sure you have moments when you’d like a little guidance.
Following you around all day might get a little awkward, instead, let me point you to some posts that might help.
